David Jaffe, Principal
David Jaffe, CAE launched Jaffe Management Inc. in 2007 and has served as Principal since its inception. Under his leadership Jaffe Management has developed a signature association management style, providing a full range of services including special event planning, volunteer management, and membership development, as well as day-to-day operational support and management. Mr. Jaffe’s work is focused on assisting organizations Boards of Directors to serve the mission of their association, utilizing over a decade of experience working with association Boards of Directors.
Jaffe is also responsible for day-to-day operations of Jaffe Management and has led the company’s growth from a small start up to an established firm with an office of 14 staff in New York City. Mr. Jaffe is proud to have helped several staff members grow into full-time association managers and looks forward to their continued progress.
Prior to opening Jaffe Management, Jaffe served as the staff Executive Director of the International Association of Financial Engineers (IAFE) a non-profit professional organization dedicated to fostering the field of quantitative finance and as Director of Communications for the Senior Executives Association, supporting the interests of senior career officials in the federal government. Mr. Jaffe received a BA in Economics from Georgetown University, a Certificate in Public Relations from the University of Virginia, and holds the CAE (Certified Association Executive) credential.
Outside of work, Jaffe has spent many years serving in various volunteer positions. He previously served on Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center Board of Directors, three of those years as Chairman, a settlement house providing services to the residents of Amsterdam Houses, part of the New York City Public Housing Authority. He also served as a mentor and team leader for Streetwise Partners, a New York City non-profit providing mentoring and career coaching to adults in job transitions. He lives in Greenwich Village and is a frequent traveler with recent trips to Argentina, India, Croatia, Bosnia, and Myanmar (Burma). Jaffe received a BA in Economics from Georgetown University, a Certificate in Public Relations from the University of Virginia, and holds the CAE (Certified Association Executive) credential.
Michael R. Borden, Association Manager
Michael R. Borden, CAE serves as an Association Manager for Jaffe Management and will serve as the Executive Director for the New York State Podiatric Medical Association (NYSPMA).
Borden previously served as Chief Executive Officer of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, Durham, NC, from 2007-2013. In that position, he was responsible for all administrative activities, the Academy’s publications, goals, policy development and organizational objectives in consultation with the Executive Committee, Board of Directors and committee chairs for 2,000 physician assistant members. Prior to that, from 2001-2007, he served as Executive Director, IMI Association Executives, Durham, NC, where he was responsible for multiple non-profit associations in new business and policy development. From 1995-2000, he served as Executive Director, Olson Management Group, Raleigh, NC, where he was responsible for multiple associations and all phases of association management. Borden received his B.A. in Journalism from Ohio University and his Masters in Administration. He is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) in the American Society of Association Executives, as well as having been a registered lobbyist in North Carolina. He also served as president of the Association Executives of North Carolina. He has one daughter, Sydney and is an avid (and perennially disappointed) fan of the Cleveland Browns.
Mark Murynec, Association Manager
Mark Murynec serves as an Association Manager at Jaffe Management. He has worked with Jaffe Management since its founding and for several years before at the International Association of Financial Engineers. He brings to Jaffe Management’s clients expertise in a variety of capacities from his previous roles, both as Membership Associate and Program Associate. Mark has strategized with clients in transitioning to new membership software, building new websites, streamlined and created membership databases and advised clients on membership retention practices. In the Membership Associate role, he focused on membership processing, renewals, and relations for both individual and corporate members. As Program Associate, he managed event logistics, acted as a liaison to corporate sponsors and facility managers. He currently manages clients' websites, implements research projects, manages volunteers and develops comprehensive improvements to all client membership and logistical structures. Throughout all of this work Mark has worked extensively with Boards of Directors and Volunteers to share best practices and to ensure their time is being used most effectively. Mark volunteers for the American Philosophical Practitioners Association as their Resource Manager, helping APPA run its events and keep their membership actively engaged. Mark holds a BA in Philosophy from SUNY Stony Brook and an MA in Philosophy from The New School. Mark also teaches courses in Philosophy, Ethics and Bio-Ethics as an Adjunct Professor of Philosophy at Molloy College.
Courtney Selstad, Association Manager
Courtney Selstad serves as an Association Manager for Jaffe Management’s clients. In this role she provides support to clients’ Boards of Directors and volunteer committees, manages evening seminars and multi-day events, creates promotional materials, updates clients’ websites, and maintains membership databases. Prior to joining Jaffe Management, Courtney worked at the Consulate General of Canada offices in New York and Minneapolis where she assisted with public relations, event planning and administration. Outside of work, Courtney creates up-cycled handcrafts and volunteers for the sustainability non-profit GreenspaceNYC. She earned her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in International Studies and History.
Will Titus, Association Manager
Will Titus serves as Association Manager at Jaffe Management, where he manages the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) New York Metro Chapter. Specific areas of administration include the Chapter’s professional development and networking events, monthly Board meetings, marketing initiatives, website updates, membership recruitment/retention, sponsorship benefit delivery, and general member outreach. Will’s prior professional experience includes working at the national headquarters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), serving in several roles, his most senior one being that of Membership Development & Group Sales Manager. Additionally, Will has experience in the tourism and hospitality industry, the residential real estate field, and in broadcasting. Prior to joining Jaffe Management, he served as Concierge Agent at the Center for International Business Travel (CIBT). Will is also a Licensed Referral Agent with Weichert Realtors in the state of New Jersey and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts, with a minor in Theatre, from the Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Sarah Hansen, Conference Manager
Sarah Hansen serves as a Conference Manager for Jaffe Management. In this role she is in charge of the annual NY Podiatric Clinical Conference and Exhibition which draws over 3,000 attendees and 250 exhibitors to midtown Manhattan every January. Her responsibilities range from selling exhibits and sponsorships to soliciting educational grants to managing the continuing medical education credit process, along with working with board leadership to create a seamless onsite experience for attendees. Before joining Jaffe Management, Sarah supervised a small team responsible for conceptualizing, planning and administering events at MPA – The Association of Magazine Media. Working closely with leadership from Condé Nast, Hearst Corporation and Time Inc. to forge partnerships with Advertising Age, Facebook and Twitter, among others, she and her team created one of a kind event experiences without impacting the bottom line. Sarah honed her planning skills at the International Council of Shopping Centers and the American Bar Association before moving to Pfizer, where she managed U.S. and international meetings with budgets of up to $2M from inception through reconciliation. Sarah is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and has continued her events education at NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies. Sarah is passionate about her rescue pup, Sam, and can be often be found walking along the West Side Highway, trying her best to wear him out.
Lori Sales, Operations Manager
Lori Sales serves as an Operations Manager at Jaffe Management. She offers day-to-day administrative support to the Jaffe team and their clients. She has an extensive background as a project/account manager in advertising, leading large-scale, multi-platform advertising initiatives in print, digital and television. Clients included McDonald’s, AT&T, Macy’s, American Express, Diageo, JetBlue, Ad Council, Target, Nikon, Unilever, Victoria’s Secret, and State Farm. Outside of Jaffe Management, she enjoys traveling abroad, roaming art galleries, biking, going to see plays and live music, taking her dog to the park, and volunteer work teaching adults to read. Lori holds a B.S. in Anthropology from Humboldt State University, and is currently pursuing certification in marketing research.
Tasha Cruz, Administrative Assistant
Elodie Duyker, Program Associate
Elodie Duyker serves as a Program Associate at Jaffe Management. In this role, she assists in the planning of evening and multi-day events, maintains membership databases, creates and distributes promotional marketing materials, and manages clients’ websites. Originally from Australia, Elodie has an extensive background in a range of event-related fields having worked for hospitality, catering, event décor hire, ribbon & stationery firms. Elodie also has substantial administration and customer service experience from her time as Assistant Manager at the Melbourne Wedding Registry where she developed strong client relationships and was personally responsible for over 200 registries. Elodie holds a Master Degree in Business (Event Management) from Victoria University and a Bachelor Degree in International Relations from Monash University.
Joya Nuruddin, Program Associate
Joya Nuruddin serves as a Program Associate for Jaffe Management. In this role, she plans events, maintains membership databases, seeks out and creates media partnerships with other organizations, works closely with Boards of Directors, and manages clients’ websites. Prior to joining Jaffe Management, she spent three years working for an international ecommerce company, where she spent a year in Alberta, Canada working closely with the CEO and COO of the company. Later she spent almost two years in South Asia setting up their regional offices. Outside of her work at Jaffe Management she has recently launched a jewelry line in South Asia and hopes to launch a full fashion line. Joya earned her BBA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College with plans to pursue her masters in Forensic Psychology in the near future.
Sarah Ohanesian, Program Associate
Sarah Ohanesian serves as a Program Associate at Jaffe Management. In this role she assists in the planning and preparation of special events and conferences, manages databases, updates websites, and performs general research. She also provides administrative and clerical support to the office. Sarah held a variety of positions prior to coming to Jaffe Management. She developed skills in digital communications, outreach and project management as an intern at Girl Rising, where she created promotional web content and collaborated with international NGOs to organize events for the UN’s 2013 International Day of the Girl Child. Sarah also has experience in student counseling, and she worked as a psychology research assistant and Spanish teaching assistant at Hamilton College. Sarah graduated magna cum laude from Hamilton with Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Hispanic Studies. Outside of her work at Jaffe Management, she enjoys running, travel, and hiking in the Adirondack Mountains.

Saundra Baker, Bookkeeper
Georgia Hodge, Bookkeeper
Georgia Hodge has served as the bookkeeper for Jaffe Management for over five years. She has over ten years of bookkeeping experience working in both private and non-profit environments. Her accounting role is all-inclusive and wide-ranging, from account analyses and reconciliations, to preparation of financials for board meetings. She’s also experienced working with external auditors and Form 990 preparations. Recent work includes working with Focus Integrated Fitness and the National Association of Women Artists. Georgia holds a BS in Accounting from Lehman College of The City University of New York.
Amy Benson, Proposal consultant
Amy Benson has worked at Jaffe Management as both a staff member and consultant since its inception in 2007. She currently serves as a Proposal Consultant for Jaffe Management, writing proposals for potential clients and responding to RFPs. Previously she has served as an program associate at Jaffe Management managing events, running special projects, and transitioning new clients to the firm. Her long history with the firm and varied roles has provided Amy with the experience to create proposals anticipating the needs of associations. Amy holds a BFA in Theatre from New York University.
