David Jaffe

Principal


David Jaffe, CAE, launched Jaffe Management in 2007 and has served as Principal since its inception. Jaffe is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Jaffe Management and has led the company’s growth from a small startup to an established firm headquartered in New York City.

Prior to founding the company, he served as the Executive Director of the International Association of Financial Engineers, and he served as Director of Communications for the Senior Executives Association.

Jaffe received his bachelor’s in Economics from Georgetown University, a certificate in Public Relations from the University of Virginia, and he holds the CAE (Certified Association Executive) credential. He previously served on the Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center Board of Directors and was a mentor and team leader for Streetwise Partners, a nonprofit that provides mentoring and career coaching to adults in job transitions. He lives in Greenwich Village and when he is not at home exploring restaurants is a frequent traveler, with recent trips to Argentina, India, Croatia, Bosnia and Myanmar (Burma).

Michael R. Borden

Association Manager


Michael R. Borden, CAE, serves as an Association Manager for Jaffe Management and is the Executive Director for the New York State Podiatric Medical Association. Borden previously served as Chief Executive Officer of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, where he was responsible for all administrative activities, the Academy’s publications, goals, policy development and organizational objectives in tandem with its leadership. He also served as Executive Director for IMI Association Executives and as Executive Director of Olson Management Group, where he managed multiple associations and all phases of association management.

Borden received his bachelor’s degree in Journalism and his master’s degree in Administration from Ohio University, and he holds the CAE (Certified Association Executive) credential. He is a registered lobbyist and also currently serves on the Board of the New York Society of Association Executives. Borden has one daughter, Sydney, and is an avid (and perennially disappointed) fan of the Cleveland Browns.

Manuel Calvillo

Program Associate


Manuel Calvillo serves as a Program Associate for Jaffe Management. In this role, he supports the daily operations of the American Board of Multiple specialties in Podiatry, the Structural Engineering Certification Board, and the National Association of Corporate Directors New York Chapter. Manuel is responsible for member outreach, makes sure that databases are up to date and is always eager to help resolve membership issues. Originally from Mexico, Manuel holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Specialty Certification in Supply Chain Management from the University of British Columbia. Furthermore, Manuel has gathered experience in sales and operations planning at Mexico’s leading sports goods retailer, Innovasport, where he participated in the development of over 130 stores. Manuel has also consistently volunteered with Casa San Francisco, a safe house in Mexico for children under the risk of domestic abuse.

Outside of work, you can find Manuel making music, writing short stories, wandering around art galleries, or travelling.”

Elodie Duyker

Conference Planner


Elodie Duyker serves as a Conference Planner at Jaffe Management. Her main focus in this role is event planning for a range of clients & event formats (seminars, cocktail events, conferences and even a cruise). In addition, Elodie assists with day-to-day association management by maintaining membership databases, creating and distributing promotional marketing materials, and managing client websites.

Originally from Australia, Elodie has an extensive background in a range of event-related fields having worked for hospitality, catering, event décor and retail firms. Elodie also has substantial administration and customer service experience from her time as Assistant Manager at the Melbourne Wedding Registry where she developed strong client relationships and was personally responsible for over 200 registries. Elodie holds a master’s degree in Business (Event Management) from Victoria University and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Monash University. In her free time Elodie coordinates weddings, enjoys trivia and travelling.

Sarah Hansen

Conference Manager


Sarah Hansen serves as a Conference Manager for Jaffe Management and is in charge of the annual New York Podiatric Clinical Conference and Exhibition, which draws more than 3,000 attendees and 250 exhibitors to Midtown Manhattan every January. Her responsibilities range from selling exhibits/sponsorships and soliciting educational grants to managing the continuing education contact hours (CECH) credit process and working with Board leadership to create a seamless onsite experience for attendees. Before joining Jaffe Management, Hansen worked for the Association of Magazine Media, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the American Bar Association and Pfizer.

She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and has continued her events education at NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies. Sarah is passionate about her rescue pup, Sam, and can be often be found walking along the West Side Highway, trying her best to wear him out.

Georgia Hodge

Bookkeeper


Georgia Hodge has more than thirteen years of bookkeeping experience, working in both private and nonprofit environments. She has served as the Bookkeeper for Jaffe Management since 2007. Her accounting role is all-inclusive and wide-ranging, from handling deposits and preparing vendor payments, to account analyses and reconciliations, to preparing financial statements for Board Meetings. Georgia also works with external auditors, and is responsible for preparing the annual Form 990 for various clients. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Lehman College of The City University of New York. She has perpetual credits for successfully passing the CPA examination.

Joya Nuruddin

Association Manager


Joya Nuruddin serves as an Association Manager for Jaffe Management. In this role, she plans and executes events, maintains membership databases, seeks out and creates media partnerships with other organizations, works closely with Boards of Directors and manages clients’ websites.

Prior to her current role, she spent four years working as the Director of Operations for an international ecommerce company; two years were spent in Alberta, Canada, working closely with the company’s CEO and executive leadership, and two were spent in South Asia scouting real estate locations and developing the company’s regional offices and department stores as an executive. In these roles, Nuruddin supervised and managed a variety of multifaceted processes of the company, including purchasing, sales, client services and reviews of operational efficiency. Nuruddin earned her bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.

Sarah Ohanesian

Senior Program Associate


Sarah Ohanesian serves as a Program Associate at Jaffe Management. She assists in the planning and preparation of meetings and special events, managing event registrations and creating promotional materials. She is also responsible for member outreach and communications. She maintains member databases, updates clients’ websites and completes general research. Ohanesian developed skills in digital communications and project management as an intern at Girl Rising, where she wrote web content and collaborated with international NGOs to organize events for the United Nations’ 2013 International Day of the Girl Child. She also has experience in student counseling, and she worked as both a psychology research assistant and Spanish teaching assistant at Hamilton College. She graduated magna cum laude from Hamilton with bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Hispanic Studies. Outside of her work at Jaffe Management, Ohanesian enjoys running, travel and hiking in the Adirondack Mountains.

Mary Patterson

Association Manager


Mary Patterson is an Association Manager for Jaffe Management and serves as the Executive Director for the American College of Cardiology's New York State Chapter, The New York Cardiological Society and the New York Staffing Association. She previously served as Vice President of External Affairs and Community Relations for the Greater Pensacola Chamber, one of the oldest business associations in the country.

Patterson has a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of North Florida and dual master's degrees in Leadership in Nonprofit Administration & Public Service and Strategic Communications & Leadership from the University of West Florida. She has served on boards for the Florida Public Relations Association, the American Advertising Federation and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a technology-focused business incubator.

Outside of work, you will find her in a movie theater, out salsa dancing or spending time at home with her family in the Garment District.

Lori Sales Cutler

Association & Membership Manager


Lori Sales Cutler serves as an Association & Membership Manager for Jaffe Management and is the Membership Director for the New York State Podiatric Medical Association. Prior to joining Jaffe Management, Sales Cutler worked as a Project Manager in the advertising, brand and marketing industry for top-line global agencies, including, JWT, BBDO, DDB, DraftFCB, Interbrand and Digitas. During this time she led large-scale, multi-platform marketing and advertising initiatives in digital, print, television and radio for such clients as Ad Council, McDonald’s, Victoria’s Secret, JetBlue, Proctor & Gamble, American Express, State Farm, Unilever, Diageo and Nikon.

Sales Cutler holds a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Humboldt State University and a Certificate in Principles of Market Research from the University of Georgia.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling abroad; roaming art galleries; seeing films, plays and live music; and doing volunteer work for animal rescue organizations and adult literacy programs.

Nora Saari

Program Associate


Nora Saari serves as a Program Associate at Jaffe Management and works for the New York State Podiatric Medical Association and the Public Relations of America, New York Chapter. She previously served as the Executive Director of Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan, the largest student-run non-profit organization in the state. There, she oversaw all aspects of the organization, led an executive team of 28 individuals, and assisted the execution of events and fundraisers, including the 30-hour Dance Marathon. She is also a Teach for America Alumna, having taught High School Mathematics in the South Louisiana region. There, she was also responsible for executing major school events, including the school’s Commencement Exercises. Nora holds a B.S. in Actuarial Mathematics from the University of Michigan. In her free time, she enjoys viewing sporting events, attending theater productions, singing and traveling.

Shalia Skjong

Program Associate


Shalia Skjong serves as a Program Associate for Jaffe Management and assists with coordinating the annual New York Podiatric Clinical Conference and Exhibition. This conference draws in over 3,000 attendees, bringing together thousands of DPMS, MDs, Podiatric Assistants, Students, Residents, as well as over 250 exhibitors to Manhattan. She also assists with coordinating semi-annual seminars for the Institute for Quantitative Research in Finance “The Q Group” in venues across the nation and Canada. Previously, Shalia was the Secretary and Chair of the Internship Committee of the United Nations Association of Boulder County. Prior to those roles, she served as the President of the UNICEF Campus Initiative, as well as the Student Outreach Coordinator for the Peace Corps at her university. Shalia has also interned as a Fundraising/Event Coordinator at several nonprofits. Shalia holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs with a Minor in German Studies from the University of Colorado. She enjoys world traveling, exploring the New York City, and learning new languages.

Jenna Webb

Association Manager


Jenna Webb is an Association Manager with Jaffe Management. She is the Executive Director of the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry and Chapter Administrator for the National Association of Corporate Directors New York Chapter. In this role she supports the Board of Directors, plans and implements events and maintains membership accounts. Prior to this role, she spent five years as the Director of Administrative Services at a professional testing company in their association management division. She has also served as the Executive Director of the American Board of Spine Surgery, as Assistant Executive Director for multiple other nonprofit associations and has worked on the finance side of commercial real estate with CB Richard Ellis.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Bryant University with a concentration in Finance and Marketing. She holds a Certificate of Credentialing Specialist from the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) and serves as a volunteer on their International Committee. Jenna is also a member of ASAE and NYSAE.
