Jaffe Management, a 10-year-old association management firm headquartered in New York City, added to its ever-expanding portfolio of clients by partnering with Women in Development – New York (WiD, NY).
WiD, NY aims to empower, connect and engage women in a community that fosters professional growth and leadership while advancing the field. WiD, NY was founded in the early 1980s as an informal networking group for women in the professional fundraising field. At the time, men far outnumbered women in the development profession. In addition, the majority of female fundraisers were employed in the cultural and social service sectors. Today, women in development far outnumber men in the profession, but salary inequity persists. Through professional development and networking opportunities, WiD, NY provides a forum for women in the field to learn and make new connections.
Jaffe, a professional management company, replaces the need for traditional administrative offices and paid staff members by handling the day-to-day administrative responsibilities “behind the scenes,” working with Board Members to ensure that their time is being used as efficiently as possible and by absorbing much of their overhead costs. Jaffe Management recently announced its expansion to the New Jersey market.
