Mary Patterson Earns ‘Certified Association Executive’ (CAE) Designation

Jaffe Management is pleased to announce that Mary Patterson, who serves as Executive Director for the American College of Cardiology’s New York State Chapter and the New York Cardiological Society, has earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation, granted by the American Society of Association Executives. The certification is the highest professional credential in the association industry.

To be designated as a CAE, one must have a minimum of three years experience in nonprofit organization management, complete a minimum of 75 hours of specialized professional development, pass a stringent examination in association management and pledge to uphold a code of ethics. Less than 5 percent of all association professionals have earned the CAE. The CAE Program, which is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, serves to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and designate those who have acquired and have demonstrated knowledge essential to the practice of association management.

Patterson is Association Manager for Jaffe Management, a 10-year-old association management firm with offices in New York and New Jersey. View the company’s current client roster here. Considering hiring a management firm or just have questions about what we do? Contact us here.
