Mary Patterson, CAE – Association Manager

About This Project

Mary Patterson, CAE, joined Jaffe Management in 2015 and leads operations for the Society for Human Resource Management’s NYC chapter, the American College of Cardiology’s New York chapter, the Chain Restaurant Total Rewards Association, the National Pest Management Association’s New England arm, and several professional councils of the International Chiropractic Association. She previously served as a Vice President for the Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce, one of the oldest business associations in the country, and led communications for Florida’s Department of Management Services prior to that. She has served as a consultant in the areas of HR and ethics, held various roles at government agencies, and spent her early career as a newspaper journalist. Patterson holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential, the highest professional credential in the association industry, and holds dual master’s degrees – in Leadership in Nonprofit Administration & Public Service and in Strategic Communications & Leadership. She also holds a B.S. in Communications and a minor in Latin-American Studies. She has served on a handful of boards and is a member of several professional societies. In 2020, she won a New York Society of Association Executives Synergy Award and was named a “Rising Star” among New York association leaders by her peers. She is a regular globetrotter, precipitated by study abroad in Spain and Costa Rica, and her more recent travels have included Japan, Iceland, Italy, New Zealand, Ireland, Argentina, Cuba, Canada and The Netherlands.
