Valeria Alvarez – Program Assistant

Valeria Alvarez is a Program Assistant with Jaffe Management supporting Structural Engineers Association of New York and Women in Development NY. Her background includes experience in marketing, international business operations, and retail. She previously worked in Dallas at a Latin American distribution company and later at Dollarcity, a retail chain with over 600 stores across five countries, where she served as a Seasonal Buyer Lead.

Valeria earned her degree in Marketing from Texas Christian University, where she also spent a year studying abroad in Rome and Florence, broadening her global perspective. Born and raised in El Salvador, she is bilingual in English and Spanish and brings a strong understanding of cross-cultural communication and vendor relations.

Outside of work, Valeria enjoys exploring nature, spending time with her family, and caring for her dachshund, Salami, and daughter, Victoria.
