Mary Patterson, CAE

About This Project

Mary Patterson, CAE, spent her early career as a journalist and later as Vice President for the Greater Pensacola Chamber, one of the oldest business associations in the country. She holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential, the highest professional credential in the association industry, as well as dual master’s degrees – in Nonprofit Administration / Public Service and in Strategic Communications. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a minor in Latin-American Studies.

 

In 2020, Patterson won a Metro New York Society of Association Executives’ Award and was named by her peers as a “Rising Star” among New York association leaders. She has served as a consultant in the areas of human resources and ethics and has also held various roles at government agencies.

 

A passionate traveler — precipitated by study abroad in Spain and Costa Rica — her travels have taken her to Japan, Iceland, Italy, New Zealand, Argentina, Cuba and The Netherlands in recent years.
